REBADJ Chaima2024-07-142024-07-142024https://dspace.univ-soukahras.dz/handle/123456789/3955Abstract As writing is a crucial skill for academic and professional success, many students struggle with proper usage of verb tenses, which can impact the clarity and effectiveness of their written communication. The current study aims at investigating the effectiveness of using Grammarly application in enhancing grammar tenses proficiency and the ability of this educational technology tool to correct the related errors of second-year EFL students at Mohamed Cherif Messaadia University, in Souk-Ahras. Grammarly is a powerful application that has become a go-to tool for anyone looking to enhance their writing. With its intuitive interface and advanced algorithms, the current piece of research represents a hybrid, experimental research that used a mixed methods to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. Two research methods were used. First, a pre-experiment method was conducted, where one experimental group, consisting of 23 conveniently selected participants, experienced three separate stages: a pre-test, a treatment level, and a post-test at the conclusion of the study. Second, a questionnaire was administered to the same sample. The obtained findings unearthed that students actively using Grammarly application demonstrate a substantial improvement in applying correct grammar tenses and a reduction of tenses errors, and that they have positive attitudes towards the effectiveness of using this software in enhancing their grammar tenses learning and use. Based on these results, the hypotheses are confirmed. To this end, a number of recommendations and suggestions are proposed for further research. -------------------- ملخص تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى التحقق من فعالية استخدام تطبيق غرامرلي في تحسين اتقان الأطر الزمنية النحوية للطلاب وقدرة التكنولوجيا التعليمية على تصحيح أخطاء طلاب السنة الثانية في اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية في جامعة محمد شريف مساعدية في سوق أهراس. جرامرلي هو تطبيق قوي أصبح أداة أساسية لأي شخص يرغب في تحسين كتابته. بفضل واجهته البديهية وخوارزمياته المتقدمة، يساعد جرامرلي المستخدمين على تصحيح الأخطاء النحوية والترقيمية والإملائية والأسلوبية آنيا . يمثل البحث الحالي بحثاً هجيناً تجريبياً استخدمت فيه طريقة مزيجه لجمع البيانات الكمية والنوعية. تم استخدام طريقتين للبحث. أولاً، تم إجراء طريقة ما قبل التجربة، حيث خضعت مجموعة تجريبية واحدة، تتكون من 23 مشاركاً مختارين بشكل ملائم، لثلاث مراحل منفصلة: اختبار قبلي، التدخل، واختبار بعد الدراسة. تم عمل تجربة واستبيان لـ 23 طالبًا لنفس الطلبة. كشفت النتائج المتحصل عليها أن الطلاب الذين يستخدمون تطبيق غرامرلي بكثرة يظهرون تحسنًا كبيرًا في تطبيق الأزمنة النحوية الصحيحة وتقل أخطاء الأزمنة لديهم، وأن لديهم اتجاهات إيجابية تجاه فعالية استخدام هذا البرنامج في تعزيز تعلم واستخدام الأزمنة النحوية. وبناء على هذه النتائج تم تأكيد الفرضيات. وتحقيقا لهذه الغاية، تم اقتراح عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات المكثفة لإجراء بحوث مستقبلية ----------------------- Résumé L'étude actuelle vise à examiner l'efficacité de l'utilisation de l'application Grammarly dans l'amélioration de la maîtrise des temps grammaticaux et la capacité de cet outil technologique éducatif à corriger les erreurs connexes chez les étudiants de deuxième année en EFL (anglais langue étrangère) à l'Université Mohamed Cherif Messaadia, à Souk-Ahras. Grammarly est une application puissante qui est devenue un outil incontournable pour quiconque souhaite améliorer son écriture. Avec son interface intuitive et ses algorithmes avancés, Grammarly aide les utilisateurs à corriger les erreurs de grammaire, de ponctuation, d'orthographe et de style en temps réel. La présente recherche représente une étude hybride et expérimentale qui a utilisé une méthode mixte pour collecter à la fois des données quantitatives et qualitatives. Deux méthodes de recherche ont été utilisées. Premièrement, une méthode pré-expérimentale a été menée, où un groupe expérimental, composé de 23 participants sélectionnés de manière pratique, a traversé trois étapes distinctes : un pré-test, une phase de traitement, et un post-test à la fin de l'étude. Deuxièmement, un questionnaire a été administré au même échantillon. Les résultats obtenus ont révélé que les étudiants utilisant activement l'application Grammarly démontrent une amélioration substantielle dans l'application correcte des temps grammaticaux et une réduction des erreurs de temps, et qu'ils ont des attitudes positives quant à l'efficacité de l'utilisation de ce logiciel pour améliorer leur apprentissage et utilisation des temps grammaticaux.
