    Elemental Analysis of Industrial Lubricants
(Intternattiionall Semiinar iin Industtriiall Engiineeriing and Applliied Matthemattiics ((ISIEAM''2018), 2018-10-24) Nedjem Eddine Benchouia; Lamia BENZAID; Azzeddine BOUZAOUIT
As the most fundamental test used in oil analysis today, elemental analysis can detect between 15 and 25 different elements that are related to wear metals, contaminant metals and oil additives. In our work we have realized a spectrometric emission analysis for the characterizations of the contamination of the industrial lubricants which are of type iso 100 and iso 32, they are used for the lubrication of the reciprocating and rotary compressors respectively.

    Modeling a photovoltaic pumping system
(Intternattiionall Semiinar iin Industtriiall Engiineeriing and Applliied Matthemattiics ((ISIEAM''2018), 2018-10-24) Nedjem Eddine Benchouia; Yahia BELLARAGUEB; Belgacem MADI; Mounir BENADJA
The work presented in this paper concerns the modeling and simulation of a photovoltaic panel intended to drive a motor pump through a DC-AC converter (inverter). In our analysis, we designed a PV system where the PV generator is the isofoton module producing, under standard test conditions (CST), a peak power of 110W, an optimal current of 3.38 A and an optimal voltage of 43.2V. Indeed the characteristic I (V) of the generator depends on the solar illumination and the temperature. These climatic variations cause the fluctuation of the point of maximum power. The simulation results obtained under Matlab / Simulink show the performance of the dynamic behavior of photovoltaic systems. The comparison of the results obtained by simulation with experimental ones is essential.

One day ahead prediction of PV power production: case study of Oued-Elkebrit’s station (Algeria)
(2019 1st International Conference on Sustainable Renewable Energy Systems and Applications (ICSRESA), 2019-12-05) Nedjem Eddine Benchouia; Mohamed SAAIDIA; Talal Belhouchet; Kaltoum Achibi
The research work presented hereafter is based on a real recorded database of a PV plant in production and in connection with a classical electrical grid. Datasets were processed through two types of techniques. The first one, a classical type, is based on a predictive predefined model, however, the second one is an artificial intelligent method based on neural networks. Based on the carried out experiences, we proposed a new strategy to implement the proposed techniques. The results obtained through the two methods were compared which demonstrate the superiority of the AI method in terms of precision, generalization, and robustness. Obtained results for each method were recorded, analyzed, and compared.

PREDICTION DU CHANGEMENT D'ETAT DE LA VISCOSITE DU LUBRIFIANT PAR LES CHAINES DE MARKOV
(5th International Conference on Maintenance and Industrial Safety CIMSI’2019, 2019-12-03) Lamia Benzaid; Nedjem Eddine Benchouia; Azzedine Bouzaouit
The quality of lubricating oil used in the engine plays an important role in extending engine life and improving engine performance. Viscosity is one of the major physicochemical factors of lubricant quality and effectiveness, Its ability to provide the effective thickness of the lubricating layer between the friction surfaces, which prevents severe wear and failure of engines. In this study, we presented the methodology which makes it possible to model the degradation of the viscosity of lubricating oils used in combustion engines, and which are operated in very severe conditions. For each oil studied, we propose to associate a Markov chain describing the transition of its viscosity from one state (i) to another state, Knowing that the viscosity of engine oils passes through the following states: good, admissible, degraded, very degraded. We have confirmed that the proposed model gives detailed results describing the different states of the oil analyzed.

Vector control of a three-level parallel structure UPS powered asynchronous machine
(5th International Conference on Maintenance and Industrial Safety CIMSI’2019, 2019-12-03) Nedjem Eddine Benchouia; Bilal SOLTANI; Belgacem MADI; Mohamed SAAIDIA
This work is dedicated to the vector control of the asynchronous machine; with orientation of the rotor flow. This technique makes it possible to decouple the control of the flow from that of the torque, similar to that of the DC machine with separate excitation. Indeed, the direct flow orientation method has been developed for conventional speed control. Through the simulation results obtained, we noted a good behavior of this one for the various tests carried out, however, shortcomings were observed concerning the sensitivity to disturbances of the load torque and their rejection time. But what strongly penalizes it is essentially its low robustness vis-à-vis the variations of the moment of inertia especially compared to those of the rotor inductance. In fact, the speed response is slightly affected, and for the changes in the rotor inductance, the decoupling of the machine deteriorates.

Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Storage: Challenges Facing Vehicle Manufacturers
(3èmeCongrès International sur les Energies Renouvelables et le Développement Durable (ERDD-2019), 2019-07-31) Bilal SOLTANI; Nedjem Eddine Benchouia
The main challenge of our time is to find renewable energy sources that meet the needs of society. Nevertheless, energy must meet several criteria such as abundance, ease and speed of use, but also the cost of production which must be low. In addition, the aspect of "clean and renewable energy" is also to be taken seriously. Today, fuel cells are a magnet for researchers because they have many advantages. First of all, these batteries have the capacity to produce a significant amount of electricity, water and heat. In addition, the reagents of the battery are the oxygen naturally present in the atmosphere and the di-hydrogen that needs to be produced. Its production is therefore a major stake for the installation of the fuel cell. Many hopes rest on the fuel cell. As we have seen, it is one of the energy sources that have the most to become and application areas. With a relatively high efficiency, zero pollutant emissions, this fuel cell has many other advantages such as the variety of batteries that can be adapted to all current needs such as transportation, global electricity generation or digital. Because of the benefits that flow from its use as an automobile fuel, hydrogen is expected to take precedence over other synthetic fuels in the not-too-distant future.
