نظرة الرحالة عن التعليم في الجزائر خلال العهد العثماني (1830-1518)

Abstract

Summary : This thesis explores the educational system in Algeria during the Ottoman period, focusing on its emergence and development through the educational and scientific institutions that appeared in the central Maghreb. It also highlights the significant role of scholarly travels in the exchange of knowledge. The study examines the nature and stages of educational curricula, with an analysis of travel literature through the example of Ibn Zakour and the perspectives of some European travelers. The aim is to shed light on the image of education in Algeria at that time from both local and foreign viewpoints, and to demonstrate its role in preserving the cultural and religious identity of the Algerian people. ---------------------------- الملخص بالعربية: تتناول هذه المذكرة نظام التعليم في الجزائر خلال العهد العثماني، مركّزة على نشأته وتطوره من خلال المؤسسات التعليمية والعلمية التي ظهرت في المغرب الأوسط، والدور المهم الذي لعبته الرحلات العلمية في تبادل المعارف. كما تسلط الضوء على طبيعة المناهج التعليمية ومراحلها، مع دراسة لأدب الرحلة من خلال نموذج ابن زاكور وآراء بعض الرحالة الأوروبيين، بهدف إبراز صورة التعليم في الجزائر آنذاك من منظور محلي وأجنبي، وبيان تأثيره في الحفاظ على الهوية الثقافية والدينية للشعب الجزائري. ---------------------------- Résumé : Ce mémoire traite du système éducatif en Algérie durant la période ottomane, en mettant l'accent sur sa naissance et son développement à travers les institutions éducatives et scientifiques apparues au Maghreb central. Il souligne également le rôle important des voyages scientifiques dans l’échange des savoirs. L’étude s’intéresse à la nature des programmes éducatifs et à leurs différentes étapes, en analysant la littérature de voyage à travers l’exemple d’Ibn Zakour ainsi que les témoignages de certains voyageurs européens, dans le but de mettre en lumière l’image de l’éducation en Algérie à cette époque, tant du point de vue local qu’étranger, et de montrer son rôle dans la préservation de l’identité culturelle et religieuse du peuple algérien.
