Contribution to the epidemiological study of Cryptosporidium spp. infections among equines in Souk-Ahras province

Abstract

The primary goal of this study is to provide an innovative addition to the epidemiological analysis of Cryptosporidium spp. infections among equines. In order to do that, we have collected 93stool sample of equines which belonged to horses (41) and donkeys (52) from Souk-Ahras province, throughout the period that runs from January to May 2024. The laboratory analysis was performed in parasitology pedagogical laboratory of Agronomic and Veterinary Sciences Institute to look for Cryptosporidium spp. oocytes by microscopy. The samples were analyzed using modified ZiehlNeilsen coloring after forties preparation with Richi method. The total rate of individual prevalence of cryptosporidiumspp infections were 19,35%.The risk factor study revelated that only the age influences equines infections byCryptosporidium spp.,with a high prevalence rate in animals which have < 1 yearold compared to those which have > 1 yearold. الهدف الرئيسي من هذه الدراسة هو تقديم إضافة مبتكرة للتحليل الوبائي لعدوىبين الخيول، من أجل القيام بذلك ، قمنا بجمع 93 عينة براز من الخيول (41) والحمير (52) من ولاية سوق أهراس طوال الفترة الممتدة من جانفي إلى ماي 2024. تم إجراء التحليل المختبري في المختبر البيداغوجي للطفيليات التابع لمعهد العلوم الفلاحية والبيطرية للبحث عنبويضاتالكريبتوسبوريديوم عن طريق الفحص المجهري. تم تحليل العينات باستخدام تلوين كان المعدل الإجمالي للانتشار الفردي لعدوى الكريبتوسبوريديوم الكريبتوسبوريديومكشفت دراسة عامل الخطر أن العمر فقط هو الذي يؤثر على عدوى الخيول بواسط فيالحيواناتالتي لديها أقل من سنة واحدة مقارنة بتلك التي لديها أكثر من سنة واحدة. الكريبتوسبوريديوم, الخيول, الفحص المجهري, انتشار, سوق أهراس:الكلمات المفتاحية
