Abstract The role of customs administration in protecting the national economy is highlighted by ensuring the application of customs laws and regulations. This contributes to regulating international cross-border trade and combating various forms of fraud and smuggling. The study also underscores the contribution of customs to protecting the domestic market and product, and improving the investment climate through procedures based on control, investigation, and risk analysis. The study concludes that developing customs and enhancing its legal, human, and technological capabilities is essential for ensuring the sustainability of economic protection and achieving customs security. ........................... ملخص يبرز دور إدارة الجمارك في حماية الاقتصاد الوطني من خلال ضمان تطبيق القوانين والتشريعات الجمركية، الأمر الذي يساهم في تنظيم حركة التجارة الدولية عبر الحدود، ومحاربة مختلف صور الغش والتهريب. كما تبرز الدراسة مساهمة الجمارك في حماية السوق والمنتوج الوطني، وتحسين مناخ الاستثمار من خلال إجراءات قائمة على الرقابة والتحقيق وتحليل المخاطر. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن تطوير الجمارك وتعزيز قدراتها قانونيا وبشريا وتكنولوجيا يعد عاملا أساسيا لضمان استدامة الحماية الاقتصادية وتحقيق الأمن الجمركي. ........................... Résumé Le rôle de l'administration douanière dans la protection de l'économie nationale est mis en évidence par l'application rigoureuse des lois et règlements douaniers. Ceci contribue à réguler le commerce international transfrontalier et à lutter contre diverses formes de fraude et de contrebande. L'étude souligne également la contribution des douanes à la protection du marché intérieur et des produits, ainsi qu'à l'amélioration du climat d'investissement grâce à des procédures fondées sur le contrôle, l'enquête et l'analyse des risques. L'étude conclut que le développement des douanes et le renforcement de leurs capacités juridiques, humaines et technologiques sont essentiels pour garantir la pérennité de la protection économique et la sécurité douanière.
