It reserved the right to form a strong army and naval fleet, the latter, which did not stop its activity but reflected on several social, economic and political areas, so the prestige of the fleet at that time was the basis that imposed the prestige of the international islands and made them the focus of the attention of the European powers despite the decline The level of activity of the Navy. ------------------------------- ملخص يُعدّ موضوع الجزائر والباب العالي (1520-1830) موضوعًا بالغ الأهمية في تاريخ الجزائر الحديث، إذ كان بمثابة مرحلة لبداية تأسيس الدولة الجزائرية الحديثة، حيث احتفظت بحقها في تكوين جيش وأسطول بحري قويين، لم يتوقف نشاطهما، بل انعكس على عدة مجالات اجتماعية واقتصادية وسياسية، فكانت هيبة الأسطول آنذاك هي الأساس الذي فرض هيبة الجزر الدولية، وجعلها محط أنظار القوى الأوروبية، رغم تراجع مستوى نشاط البحرية. ------------------------------------- Résumé Le thème d'al-Djazayer et de la Haute Porte (1520-1830) est un sujet important de l'histoire de l'Algérie moderne, marquant le début de la fondation de l'État algérien moderne. Il se réservait le droit de former une armée et une flotte navale puissantes, dont l'activité ne cessa pas et se répercuta sur plusieurs domaines sociaux, économiques et politiques. Le prestige de la flotte à cette époque constitua donc la base qui imposa le prestige des îles internationales et les plaça au centre de l'attention des puissances européennes, malgré le déclin de l'activité de la marine.
