Abstract: It is clear that protecting refugees is no longer merely a humanitarian issue, but an international legal obligation imposed by conventions to guarantee their fundamental rights and dignity. The host country is obligated to provide protection, ensure non-discrimination and facilitate the integration of refugees. while requiring them to respect its laws and public order. International conventions also guarantee a range of civil and social rights for refugees, while defining their obligations within the host country. However, the escalation of crises and conflicts has revealed challenges that hinder the effective implementation of this protection, necessitating enhanced international cooperation and the development of more effective mechanisms. .................................... الملخص : يتبين أن حماية اللاجئين لم تعد مسألة انسانية فقط ، بل التزام قانوني دولي تفرضه الاتفاقيات لضمان حقوقهم الأساسية وكرامتهم . وتلتزم دولة الملجأ بتوفير الحماية وعدم التمييز وتسهيل اندماج اللاجئين مع الزامهم باحترام قوانينها ونظامها العام . كما تكفل المواثيق الدولية مجموعة من الحقوق المدنية والاجتماعية للاجئين مع تحديد واجباتهم داخل الدولة المضيفة . غير أن تصاعد الأزمات والنزاعات كشف عن تحديات تعيق التطبيق الفعلي لهذه الحماية ، مما يستدعي تعزيز التعاون الدولي وتطوير آليات أكثر فعالية . .................................... Résumé Il apparait que la protection des réfugiés n’est plus seulement une question humanitaire, mais un engagement juridique international imposé par les conventions et les accords internationaux afin de fondamentaux et leur dignité. L’état d’accueil est tenu d’assurer la protection, de garantir la non-discrimination et de faciliter l’intégration des réfugiés, tout en leur imposant le respect de ses lois et de son ordre public. Les instruments internationaux garantissent également un ensemble de droits civils et sociaux aux réfugiés, tout en définissant leurs obligations dans le pays d’accueil. Cependant, l’intensification des crises et des conflits a révélé des défis qui limitent l’application effective de ces mécanismes de protection, ce qui nécessite un renforcement de la coopération internationale et le développement de mécanismes plus efficaces.
