Item Control struture for induction machine using causal informational graph(international journal of computer application, 2014-10) Hassainia Saida; Toufouti Riadh; Meziane SalimaItem DRY SLIDING FRICTION AND WEAR OF THE WC/TIC-CO IN CONTACT WITH AL2O3 FOR TWO SLIDING SPEEDS(University of Niš, 2022) Riad Harouz 1; Abdelaziz Lakehal1; Khaled Khelil2; Olivier Dedry3; Neda Hashemi3; Said Boudebane4The paper examines the friction and wear behavior of four different WC/TiCCo cermets, where three of them are composed of 5%, 10% and 15% TiC additions, and a WC-Co grade without TiC, taken as a reference material for comparison purpose. The principal aim is to improve wear resistance to high sliding speeds (hot rolling) of the WC-Co material as a reference by adding previously-listed percentage of TiC. The samples (cermets) were prepared according to the powder metallurgy procedure, which includes the preparation of the powder mixture, its compression shaping and liquid phase sintering. Sintering was carried out at 1460 ° C, for 14 hours, in a reducing medium (H2). The TiC materials are added in order to boost hardness of the WC-15Co cermet and, consequently, its resistance to wear under thermomechanical conditions. The experiments are conducted using a pin-on-disc tribometer in contact with Al2O3 alumina ball at two sliding speeds of 0.5m/s and 0.75m/s, at a high temperature of 450°C, and a 20 N load. It has been noticed that some recorded friction coefficients are unstable and exhibit many peaks during almost the whole friction test period. The obtained results from the SEM microscope show that the wear behavior of the new proposed material is improved, where it has been shown that, at the sliding speed of 0.75m/s, the greater the TiC percentage is, the lower the average friction coefficient will be. Also, for the speed of 0.5 m/s, the average friction coefficient is relatively more stable with the TiC percentage increase. Moreover, the obtained experimental results show an average wear rate decrease, with respect to reference grades (NA), that amounts to nearly 36% and 41% at the two sliding speeds P1 (0.5m/s) and P2 (0.75m/s), respectively.Item Impact of fractional filter in PI control loop applied to induction motor speed drive(Electrical Engineering & Electromechanics journal, 2022-09-07) Hassainia Saida; Ladaci Samir; Kechida Sihem; Khelil KhaledOne of the main problems of electrical machine control systems is to obtain a satisfactory performance in the rejection of load disturbances, as well as in the set-point tracking tasks. Generally, the development of control algorithms does not take into account the presence of noise. Appropriate filtering is, therefore, essential to reduce the impact of noise on the output of the controller, in addition to the machine output. Recently, there has been a great tendency toward using fractional calculus to solve engineeringproblems. The filtering is one of the fields in which fractional calculus has received great attention. The importance of filters in signal processing and other engineering areas is unquestionable Novelty. The proposed work is intended to be a contribution in the recent works conducted on the influence of the fractional filtering on the control robustness of induction machines control. Purpose. The main contribution of this research is the application of fractional filtering to the standard PI control loop for an induction motor speed drive. Methods. In order to assess its impact and benefit, different structures for introducing the filters are investigated, A first order filter is considered in different positions, whether before or after the controller or even in both positions at the same time, with a noise source. A review of the index performance evolution (the Integral Square Error, Integral Absolute Error and Integral Time Absolute Error) has allowed a configuration design of the filter. Results. Intensive simulations were performed with a control setup using integer and fractional order filters, which permitted to conclude that the fractional filters give better performance indices compared to the integer one and thus improve the dynamic characteristics of the system.References 27, tables 4, figures 12.Item Fault tolerant control of a permanent magnet synchronous machine using multiple constraints Takagi-Sugeno approach(Electrical Engineering & Electromechanics, 2022-11-06) Lotfi Moussaoui; Sabrina Aouaouda; Reda RouaibiaIntroduction. Fault diagnosis, and fault tolerant control issues are becoming very important to ensure a good supervision of systems and guarantee the safety of human operators and equipments even if system complexity increases. Problem. In fact, the presence of faults in actuators, sensors and processes can lead to system performance degradation, system breakdown, economic loss, and even disastrous situations. Furthermore, Actuator saturation or control input saturation is probably the most usual nonlinearity encountered in control engineering because of the physical impossibility of applying unlimited control signals and/or safety constraints. Purpose. This article is dedicated to the problem of fault tolerant control for constrained nonlinear systems described by a Takagi-Sugeno model. One of the interests of this type of models is the possibility of extend some tools and methods from linear system case to the nonlinear one. The novelty of the work consists in developing a fault tolerant control algorithm for a nonlinear Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine model using an observer based state-feedback control technique in order to enhance fault and state estimation despite actuator saturation and system disturbances. Methods. Indeed a sensor fault detection observer based residual generator is synthesized with a guaranteed L2 performance to attenuate the external disturbances effect from one side and to maximize the residual sensitivity to faults from the other side. Based on Lyapunov function, design conditions are formulated in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities to ensure stability of the global system. Practical value. A detailed study concerning nonlinear permanent magnet synchronous machine model, which is consolidated by simulation results, is conducted to show the used algorithm’s effectiveness guarantying fault estimation and reconfiguration of the control law to maintain stable performance even in the presence of actuator faults, external perturbation and the phenomenon of actuator saturation.Item Investigation and Filtering of Harmonic Currents in Hybrids Renewable Energy System(PRZEGLĄD ELEKTROTECHNICZNY,, 2023-01-25) Djeghader, Yacine; Boumous,Zouhir; Boumous,SamiraAbstract. This study investigates and filters harmonic currents generated by a hybrid system with a storage system (photovoltaic-wind-battery) for Household Applications. In this paper, we prefer to use passive filtering to mitigate the harmonic currents especially the passive tuned filter (single and multiple). This method is the most used because it's cheap and effective. The hybrid system studied is used for power supply household applications. This modern system can improve efficiency, reliability, and security while reducing operating costs and offering flexibility. For better working for our system, we use two commands called maximum power point tracking command (MPPT); one for photovoltaic panels, and the second for the wind system, the pulse width modulation control (PWM) for the inverter, and for the control the battery we apply a DC/DC buck-boost. The simulation results obtained with filtering show the improvement of current waveforms and acceptable values of total harmonic distortion (THD).Item Power Quality Enhancement Using Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) Controlled by Backstepping Controller(U.P.B. Sci. Bull., Series C Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2023-03-01) Djeghader, Yacine; Boumous,Zouhir; Boumous ,SamiraNowadays due to remarkable development in power electronics, the use of non-linear loads has become prominent. These loads draw distorted (non-sinusoidal) currents from the power supply (harmonics generation) resulting in an increase in harmonics injected into the power system. This article presents the Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) for compensation voltages and current disturbances. Our dispositive study has dual benefits of series and shunts active filters as it improves the power quality. The approach consists in injecting harmonic current and voltage into the system with the same magnitude and inverse phase as the load current and voltage harmonics to cancel out the undesired harmonic components. In this article, we use a nonlinear controller called a backstepping controller for the DC bus. The results of simulations obtained under MATLAB/Simulink show the effectiveness of the controller used.Item STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF THE PROPAGATION OF HARMONICS IN ELECTRICAL GRID CONNECTED PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM(DIAGNOSTYKA JOURNAL, 2023-03-27) Djeghader, Yacine; Boumous ,Samira; Boumous,ZouhirRenewable energy sources especially solar energy connected to an electrical grid system by using power electronic devices, known that devices degrade the power quality and especially generate harmonic currents. This article presents the study investigation and propagation of harmonics in the integration system of an electric grid connected to the photovoltaic system in the presence or not of a non-linear load (polluting load). In this study, the perturb and observe type MPPT controller for the boost converter and the PWM control for the three-phase inverter which provides the connection are used. We use a passive filtering technique (single and multiple filters) to mitigate the harmonic currents generated by the non-linear load. In the first case where the integration system is alone, the results obtained show that the values of the total harmonic distortion (THD) rates are within the standard used. But in the case of the presence of the non-linear load, the THD values are higher than the used norm. After using our proposed technique, the values of THD obtained are in the norm used for the application of a tuned filter at the fifth harmonic, and better results find with using of multiple filters (fifth and seventh).Item Comparative study of 220 kV overhead transmission lines models subjected to lightning strike simulation by using electromagnetic and alternative transients program(2023-05-10) Samira Boumous, Zouhir Boumous, Zahira anane and Hamou NouriItem Active Harmonic Filtering for Improving Power Quality of an Electrical Network(2023-05-10) Mahdi Benaouadj, Zouhir Boumous and samira BoumousItem Investigation and Filtering of Harmonic Currents in Hybrids Renewable Energy System(2023-05-10) Yacine Djeghader1 , Zouhir Boumous2 , and Samira Boumous3Item Influence of the lightning arrester position on protection of the 220KV Overhead transmission line(2023-05-10) Samira Boumous , Zouhir Boumous , Samia Latréche , Hamou Nouri
