Abstract

Abstract This study aims to uncover the history of one of the most prestigious and oldest schools to emerge in the Beylik of Western Algeria, the Mazouna School of Jurisprudence. This school serves as a beacon and a prominent symbol of caution, contributing to the graduation of an elite group of jurists, scholars, and sheikhs across the country and abroad. Despite this lofty scholarly standing, it has not received sufficient attention from researchers. ----------------------- ملخص تهدف هذه الدراسة الى الكشف عن تاريخ واحده من أعرق وأقدم المدارس التي ظهرت في بايلك الغرب الجزائري الا وهي مدرسة مازونة الفقهية، والتي تعد بمثابة منارة ورمز حضاري بارز أسهم في تخريج نخبة من الفقهاء والعلماء والمشايخ في مختلف ارجاء الوطن وخارجه، ورغم هذه المكانة العلمية الرفيعة فأنها لم تحظى بالاهتمام الكافي من قبل الباحثين. ------------------------------ Résumé Cette étude vise à révéler l’histoire de l’une des écoles les plus prestigieuses et anciennes apparues dans le Beylik de l’Ouest algérien, à savoir l’école juridique de Mazouna. Elle est considérée comme un phare du savoir et un symbole culturel majeur ayant contribué à former une élite distinguée de juristes, savants et cheikhs à travers le pays et au-delà. Malgré son haut rang scientifique, cette école n’a pas bénéficié de l’attention qu’elle mérite de la part des chercheurs.
