Analyse Morphométrique des Animaux d’Elevage : Efficacité de diverses Méthodes Zootechniques

Abstract

In this study, we addressed the bovine morphometric evaluation of Montbéliard breed using both manual and digital support methods (photographic). Eight Montbéliard cattle were involved. To characterize the cattle, 16 body measurements were taken. The statistical treatment method used was based on calculating averages and percentages, as well as comparing the standard evaluation method with the digital support method to test the effectiveness of the digital support method (photographic) and see if it could replace the classical method. The detailed analysis of the body measurements of the animals obtained by two different methods, the manual method and the digital support method, showed significant differences in four measurements: scapulo-ischial length, head length, width at the Ilium, and tail length, out of the 16 measurements performed. These differences highlight the distinct characteristics of each measurement method. It can be said that the choice between these two methods will depend on the specific objectives of the study, available resources, and the required precision for the measurements. By judiciously combining the advantages of each method, it is possible to obtain a comprehensive and accurate evaluation of the morphometric characteristics of the animals, which can be essential for the management and improvement of cattle herds. في هذه الدراسة، تناولنا التقييم المورفومتري للأبقار من سلالة مونبليارد باستخدام الطريقتين اليدوية والرقمية (الفوتوغرافية). شملت الدراسة ثمانية أبقار من سلالة مونبليارد. لأجل توصيف الأبقار، تم أخذ 16 قياسًا جسديًا. وكانت طريقة المعالجة الإحصائية المستخدمة تعتمد على حساب المتوسطات والنسب المئوية، بالإضافة إلى مقارنة طريقة التقييم القياسية بالطريقة الرقمية لاختبار فعالية الطريقة الرقمية (الفوتوغرافية) ومعرفة ما إذا كان بإمكانها استبدال الطريقة التقليدية. أظهرت التحليل التفصيلي للقياسات الجسدية للحيوانات التي تم الحصول عليها من خلال طريقتين مختلفتين، الطريقة اليدوية والطريقة الرقمية، وجود اختلافات كبيرة في أربعة قياسات: طول الكتف إلى الإكس، طول الرأس، العرض عند الحرقفة، وطول الذيل، من بين الـ 16 قياسًا التي تم إجراؤها. تبرز هذه الاختلافات الخصائص المميزة لكل طريقة قياس. يمكن القول إن اختيار بين هاتين الطريقتين سيعتمد على الأهداف المحددة للدراسة، الموارد المتاحة، والدقة المطلوبة للقياسات. من خلال الجمع بحكمة بين مزايا كل طريقة، يمكن الحصول على تقييم شامل ودقيق للخصائص المورفومترية للحيوانات، وهو أمر قد يكون ضروريًا لإدارة وتحسين قطعان الأبقار. Dans la présente étude nous avons abordé l’évaluation morphométrique bovine de race Montbéliard par l’utilisation d la méthode manuelle et la méthode supports numériques (photographiques). Huit bovins de race montbéliardes ont été concernés. Pour caractériser les bovins, 16 mesures corporelles ont été effectuées. La méthode de traitement statistique utilisée est basée sur le calcul des moyennes et des pourcentages ainsi que la comparaison entre méthode d’évaluation standard et méthode support numérique pour tester l’efficacité de la méthode support numérique (photographique) et voir si cela peut remplacer la méthode classique.L'analyse détaillée des mesures corporelles des animaux obtenues par deux méthodes différentes, la méthode manuelle et la méthode support numérique, a montré des differences significatives dans quatres mensurations qui sont longueur scapulo-ischiale, longueur de la tête, largeur aux Iliums et longueur de la queue parmis les 16 qu’on a realisée. Ces différences mettent en évidence les caractéristiques distinctes de chaque méthode de mensuration.On peut dire que le choix entre ces deux méthodes dépendra des objectifs spécifiques de l'étude, des ressources disponibles et de la précision requise pour les mesures. En combinant judicieusement les avantages de chaque méthode, il est possible d'obtenir une évaluation complète et précise des caractéristiques morphométriques des animaux, ce qui peut être essentiel pour la gestion et l'amélioration des troupeaux bovins.
