Abstract

Summary The contemporary Arabic novel is witnessing a growing interest in employing the dramatic dimension as an artistic and aesthetic tool that reflects the characters' conflicts and psychological and social tensions. This tool contributes to deepening and complicating the narrative structure and lending events a realistic character by highlighting the internal contradictions and complex interactions that characters experience in various contexts. This approach is an expression of the modern and contemporary novel's endeavor to question reality and re-present it in an artistic form that pulsates with life, fragmentation, and the search for meaning and identity. Therefore, we chose to study Ali Khayoun's novel "Ashes of Love," which is considered one of the most distinctive Arabic novels in Arabic literature, highlighting the psychological aspects, internal conflicts, and tensions that govern relationships, as well as the contradictory decisions of the characters. We relied on the descriptive approach to understand how dramatic elements such as conflict, tension, escalation, and dramatic explosion are employed in constructing events and revealing the profound dimensions of the human psyche, thus reflecting a picture of the current Iraqi reality. -------------------- ملخص: تشهد الرواية العربية المعاصرة اهتماما متزايدا بتوظيف البعد الدرامي كأداة فنية وجمالية تعكس صراعات الشخصيات وتوتراتها النفسية والاجتماعية وتساهم في تعميق البناء السردي وتعقيده وتضفي على الأحداث طابعا واقعيا من خلال إبراز التناقضات الداخلية والتفاعلات المعقدة التي تخضع لها الشخصيات في سياقات متعددة ويعد هذا التوجه تعبيرا عن سعي الرواية الحديثة والمعاصرة إلى مساءلة الواقع وإعادة تمثيله في قالب فني ينبض في الحياة والتمزق والبحث عن المعنى والهوية ولذلك اخترنا دراسة رواية رماد الحب لعلي خيون والتي تعتبر واحدة من الرواية العربية المميزة في الأدب العربي وذلك بتسليطها الضوء على الجوانب النفسية والصراعات الداخلية والتوترات التي تحكم العلاقات وكذلك القرارات المتناقضة للشخصيات ولقد تم اعتمادنا على المنهج الوصفي لفهم كيفية توظيف العناصر الدرامية مثل الصراع، التوتر، التصعيد، والانفجار الدرامي في بناء الأحداث وكشف الأبعاد العميقة للنفس البشرية مما يعكس صورة للواقع العراقي الراهن ----------------------- Résumé : Le roman arabe contemporain connaît un intérêt croissant pour l'utilisation de la dimension dramatique comme outil artistique et esthétique reflétant les conflits et les tensions psychologiques et sociales des personnages. Cet outil contribue à approfondir et à complexifier la structure narrative, et à conférer aux événements un caractère réaliste en mettant en évidence les contradictions internes et les interactions complexes que vivent les personnages dans divers contextes. Cette approche traduit la volonté du roman moderne et contemporain de questionner la réalité et de la représenter sous une forme artistique vibrante de vie, de fragmentation et de quête de sens et d'identité. C'est pourquoi nous avons choisi d'étudier le roman d'Ali Khayoun, « Les Cendres de l'amour », considéré comme l'un des romans arabes les plus singuliers de la littérature arabe, soulignant les aspects psychologiques, les conflits internes et les tensions qui régissent les relations, ainsi que les décisions contradictoires des personnages. Nous avons utilisé l'approche descriptive pour comprendre comment des éléments dramatiques tels que le conflit, la tension, l'escalade et l'explosion dramatique sont utilisés pour construire les événements et révéler les dimensions profondes de la psyché humaine, reflétant ainsi la réalité irakienne actuelle.
