Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the critical and poetic discourse of Mohammed Bennis, aiming to elucidate the profound dimensions underlying his modernist vision. The research adopts a analytical, and deconstructive methodology to approach Bennis’s poetic and critical corpus. The study’s population and sample focus on his various collections and critical writings, particularly the divan "In the Direction of Your Vertical Voice, a Choice." The primary research tools involved analyzing the mechanisms of the "authority of language," its poetics, and tracing textual, visual, and musical manifestations. The study yielded several key findings: most notably, that poetic modernity for Bennis represents a worldview that transcends traditional patterns by disrupting the strict metrical system and breaking the unity of rhyme and meter in favor of internal rhythms. Furthermore, the findings reveal that this poetic revolution extends to the visual and geometric dimensions of the text on the page (the interplay of black and white, and the semantics of blank space). The results also highlight a dense presence of traditional, modernist, and universal structures (historical, religious, mystical, and philosophical patterns), demonstrating that Bennis’s poetic and critical project forms an integrated whole where aesthetic and formal structures revolt to serve a new cognitive and philosophical awareness of language and existence. -------------------------- الملخص: تتناول هذه الدراسة مقاربة الخطاب النقدي والشعري عند محمد بنيس، مستهدفة استجلاء الأبعاد العميقة التي قامت عليها رؤيته الحداثية. واعتمد البحث على المنهج التحليلي التفكيكي لمقاربة المتن الشعري والنقدي لبنيس؛ حيث شمل مجتمع وعينة الدراسة دواوينه وكتاباته النقدية، مع التركيز على ديوان "في اتجاه صوتك العمودي اختيار". وتجلت أبرز أدوات البحث في رصد آليات "سلطة اللغة" وشعريتها، وتتبع تجليات البنى النصية والبصرية والموسيقية. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج؛ أهمها أن الحداثة الشعرية عند بنيس تمثل رؤية للعالم تتجاوز الأنماط التقليدية عبر خلخلة النظام الوزني الصارم، وتكسير وحدة القافية والروي لصالح إيقاعات داخلية، وامتداد الثورة الشعرية لتشمل البعد البصري والهندسي للنص على الورقة (لعبة الأبيض والأسود ودلالات الفراغ). كما كشفت النتائج عن حضور كثيف للأنماق التراثية والحداثية والكونية (النسق التاريخي، الديني، الصوفي، والفلسفي)، مما جعل مشروع محمد بنيس الشعري والنقدي يمثل وحدة متكاملة تثور فيها البنية الجمالية والشكلية لتخدم وعياً معرفياً وفلسفياً جديداً باللغة والوجود. --------------------- Résumé :

Cette étude examine le discours critique et poétique de Mohammed Bennis, afin d’élucider les dimensions profondes qui sous-tendent sa vision moderniste. La recherche adopte une méthodologie analytique et déconstructive pour aborder le corpus poétique et critique de Bennis. L’étude porte sur ses différents recueils et écrits critiques, en particulier le divan « In the Direction of Your Vertical Voice, a Choice ». Les principaux outils de recherche ont consisté à analyser les mécanismes de l’« autorité du langage », sa poétique, et à retracer ses manifestations textuelles, visuelles et musicales. L’étude a permis de dégager plusieurs conclusions importantes : notamment, la modernité poétique représente pour Bennis une vision du monde qui transcende les schémas traditionnels en bouleversant le système métrique strict et en rompant l’unité de la rime et du mètre au profit de rythmes internes. De plus, les résultats révèlent que cette révolution poétique s’étend aux dimensions visuelles et géométriques du texte sur la page (le jeu du noir et du blanc, et la sémantique de l’espace blanc). Les résultats mettent également en lumière une forte présence de structures traditionnelles, modernistes et universelles (schémas historiques, religieux, mystiques et philosophiques), démontrant que le projet poétique et critique de Bennis forme un tout intégré où les structures esthétiques et formelles se révoltent pour servir une nouvelle conscience cognitive et philosophique du langage et de l'existence
