Abstract

Abstract This research aims to study the phonetic terminology used by Al-Murashi in his book Juhd al-Muqill, from the perspective of modern phonetic studies. It is based on a comparative linguistic approach to uncover the features of his phonetic conceptualization and the extent to which it aligns with modern concepts in phonetics, through the identification, analysis, comparison, and critique of the relevant terms. The results revealed that Al-Murashi approached phonetic phenomena in a manner largely influenced by grammatical thinking, while also showing signs of awareness of certain precise phonetic concepts that align with the views of modern linguists. This highlights the importance of the Arab linguistic heritage in enriching phonetic knowledge. --------------- الملخص يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة المصطلح الصوتي عند المرعشي من خلال كتابه جهد المقل، وذلك من منظور الدرس الصوتي الحديث مستندا إلى منهج لساني مقارن للكشف عن ملامح التصور الصوتي لديه، ومدى موافقته للمفاهيم الحديثة في علم الأصوات، من خلال رصد المصطلحات، وتحليلها، ومقارنتها، ونقدها. وقد أظهرت النتائج أن المرعشي تعامل مع الظواهر الصوتية بأسلوب يغلب عليه الطابع النحوي مع وجود إشارات تدل على وعيه ببعض المفاهيم الصوتية الدقيقة التي تتوافق مع آراء اللسانيين، مما يعكس أهمية التراث العربي في إثراء المعرفة الصوتية. ------------------ Cette recherche a pour objectif d'étudier le terme phonétique chez Al-Mar'ashî à travers son ouvrage Juhood Al-Muqil, dans une perspective de phonétique moderne, en s’appuyant sur une méthode linguistique comparative afin de révéler les caractéristiques de sa conception phonétique et d’évaluer dans quelle mesure elle correspond aux concepts modernes en phonétique. L’étude s’est fondée sur l’observation, l’analyse, la comparaison et la critique des termes utilisés. Les résultats ont montré qu’Al-Mar'ashî a traité les phénomènes phonétiques d’une manière principalement grammaticale, tout en laissant apparaître des indices de sa compréhension de certains concepts phonétiques précis qui concordent avec les vues des linguistes contemporains, ce qui reflète l'importance du patrimoine arabe dans l’enrichissement du savoir phonétique
