Abstract

Abstract : This thesis addresses the relationship between the university and sustainable development by analyzing the theoretical framework of this modern concept and examining the pivotal role that higher education institutions, particularly universities, play in achieving the goals of sustainable development. The thesis highlights that sustainable development is not merely an environmental concern, but a comprehensive vision encompassing economic, social, environmental cultural, and technological dimensions. The study focuses on the university as a strategic institution that contributes to the formation of human capital, the production of knowledge, and the promotion of societal awareness of sustainability values. It also explores the current state and potential of Algerian universities in contributing to sustainable development goals, The thesis is organized into two main chapters : the first addresses the theoretical foundations of sustainable development, while the second examines the academic and practical mechanisms adopted by universities to achieve these goals through education, scientific research, and collaboration with local actors. ....................... ملخص المذكرة تعالج هذه المذكرة موضوع العلاقة بين الجامعة والتنمية المستدامة، من خلال تحليل الإطار النظري لهذا المفهوم الحديث ودراسة الدور المحوري الذي تلعبه مؤسسات التعليم العالي، خصوصًا الجامعة في تجسيد أهداف التنمية المستدامة، تُبرز المذكرة أن التنمية المستدامة ليست مجرد بعد بيئي، بل رؤية شاملة تشمل الجوانب الإقتصادية، الإجتماعية، البيئية، الثقافية والتكنولوجية، تركز الدراسة على الجامعة كمؤسسة استراتيجية تُسهم في تكوين رأس المال البشري، وإنتاج المعرفة، وتعزيز الوعي المجتمعي بقيم الاستدامة كما تستعرض واقع وإمكانات الجامعة الجزائرية في المساهمة في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة وقد تم تنظيم المذكرة في فصلين رئيسيين: الأول يُعالج الجوانب النظرية للتنمية المستدامة والثاني يتناول الآليات العملية والأكاديمية التي تعتمدها الجامعة لتحقيقها عبر التكوين، البحث العلمي، والتعاون مع الفاعلين المحليين. .............................. Résumé Ce mémoire traite de la relation entre l’université et le développement durable, à travers l’analyse du cadre théorique de ce concept moderne et l’étude du rôle central que jouent les établissements d’enseignement supérieur, en particulier l’université, dans la concrétisation des objectifs du développement durable. Le mémoire met en évidence que le développement durable ne se limite pas à une dimension environnementale, mais constitue une vision globale englobant les aspects économiques, sociaux, environnementaux, culturels et technologiques. L’étude se concentre sur l’université en tant qu’institution stratégique qui contribue à la formation du capital humain, à la production du savoir et au renforcement de la conscience sociétale des valeurs de durabilité. Elle examine également la réalité et les potentialités de l’université algérienne dans sa contribution à la réalisation des objectifs du développement durable. Le mémoire est structuré en deux chapitres principaux : le premier aborde les aspects théoriques du développement durable, tandis que le second traite des mécanismes pratiques et académiques mis en œuvre par l’université pour y parvenir, à travers la formation, la recherche scientifique et la coopération avec les acteurs locaux.
