Abstract
This workisessentiallybasedontheextractionbyhydrodistillationoftheessential
oil of Thyme harvested from thewilaya of Souk-Ahras.
The physico-chemical analysis of the essential oil obtained is inaccordance with the
AFNOR standards. More over, the application of the TLC showed that the chemical
composition of this productreveals the presence of thre ecompounds.
The study of the antibacterial activity of the essential oil form ulated against the
strain Escherichiacoli,presents avery important in hibiting power for the extract of
Thyme.
Inaddition,according to the experimental results we could demonstrate that the
granulometry of the plant,the V/m reportand the extraction time have animportant
anddirecteffectonthehydrodistillationprocess.
From theBox-Behnkenexperimentaldesign,welearnedmuchabouttheimpactof
variables thatimprove the experimentalextraction performance.Thus,after
optimizingtheEOextractionwefoundthefollowingoptimalconditions:particlesize
of2.79mm,V/m reportequal to 8.52mL/gandextraction time of120min,giving a
maximum efficiencyof3.58%

Cetravailsebaseprincipalementsurl’extractionparhydrodistillationdel’huile
essentielle de Thym récoltée de la wilaya de Souk-Ahras.
Les analyses physico-chimiques de l’huile essentielle obtenue sont conformes
avec les normes AFNOR.De plus,l’application de la CCM a montré que la
compositionchimiquedeceproduitrévèlelaprésencedetroiscomposés.
L’étudedel’activitéantibactériennedel’huileessentielleformuléevis-à-visde
la souche Escherichiacoli, présente un pouvoir inhibiteurtrè simportant,pour l’extrait
de Thym.
Enoutre ,selon les résultats expériment aux nous avons pu démontrer que la
granulométrie de la plante,le rapport V/m et le temps d’extractionont un effet
important et direct sur, le processus d’hydrodistillation.
À partir du plan d’expérience de Box-Behnken, nous avons beaucoup appris sur
l'impactdesvariablesquiaméliorentlerendementexpérimentaldel’extraction.Ainsi,
aprèsavoiroptimisél’extractiond’HEnousavonstrouvéslesconditionsoptimales
suivantes: granulométrie de 2,79mm,rapport V/m égale à 8,52mL/gettemps
d’extraction de 120min ,donnant un rendement maximale de 3,58%
