Abstract

Abstract: This dissertation presents a study and analysis of the features of Algerian cultural identity as manifested in marginal literature, particularly through its popular components “proverbs, poetry, folktales, riddles, and folk songs. The study is based on the hypothesis that, despite being marginalized by elites and official institutions, this form of literature plays a central role in preserving national identity – especially in the context of colonialism and attempts to erase the self. Algerian popular literature, although considered marginal, clearly demonstrates its essential role in affirming the contours of national identity. It expresses the spirit and memory of society, and its resistance to all forms of cultural and political exclusion. through its symbols and expressions, this literature remains an effective tool for preserving the authentic Algerian cultural self --------------- ملخص: تناولت هذه المذكرة دراسة وتحليلا ملامح الهوية الثقافية الجزائرية، كما تتجلى في الأدب الهامشي وتحديدا في مكوناته الشعبية التي تمثلت في : الأمثال الشعبية، الشعر، الحكاية، الألغاز، والأغنية الشعبية. كما تنطلق الدراسة من فرضية أن هذا الأدب، رغم تهميشه من قبل النخب والمؤسسات الرسمية، يلعب دورا محوريا في حفظ الذاكرة الجماعية وتشكيل الهوية الوطنية، خاصة في ظل الاستعمار ومشاريع طمس الذات. حيث يبرز الأدب الشعبي الجزائري، رغم طابعه الهامشي دورا جوهريا في تثبيت معالم الهوية الوطنية، حيث يعبر عن روح المجتمع وذاكرته ،ومقاومته لكل محاولات الإقصاء الثقافي والسياسي . من خلال رموزه وتعابيره، يظل هذا الأدب أداة فعالة للحفاظ على الذات الثقافية الجزائرية الأصيلة . ---------------------- Résumé: Cette dissertation présente une étude et une analyse des caractéristiques de l'identité culturelle algérienne telles qu'elles se manifestent dans la littérature marginale, en particulier à travers ses composantes populaires : proverbes, poésie, contes, devinettes et chansons folkloriques. L'étude repose sur l'hypothèse que, bien que marginalisée par les élites et les institutions officielles, cette forme de littérature joue un rôle central dans la préservation de l'identité nationale, notamment dans le contexte du colonialisme et des tentatives d'effacement du moi. La littérature populaire algérienne, bien que considérée comme marginale, démontre clairement son rôle essentiel dans l'affirmation des contours de l'identité nationale. Elle exprime l'esprit et la mémoire de la société, ainsi que sa résistance à toutes les formes d'exclusion culturelle et politique. À travers ses symboles et ses expressions, cette littérature demeure un outil efficace pour préserver l'authenticité de l'identité culturelle algérienne
