Abstract

Abstract This study concluded that narrative discourse constitutes a complex epistemological field where the literary intersects with the theoretical. Its complexity increases due to the overlapping of terms and the multiplicity of translations. The findings revealed that the lack of terminological standardization and the differing backgrounds of translators have contributed to a kind of conceptual confusion. This has negatively impacted the understanding and application of narrative theories in Arab studies. The study also highlighted the urgent need for institutional efforts to translate terms according to their theoretical backgrounds and to standardize them within specialized dictionaries, while enhancing the academic training of translators and researchers in this field. Dealing with narrative discourse requires a deep understanding of the epistemological and cultural contexts in which these terms emerged ------------------- خلصت هذه الدراسة إلى أن الخطاب السردي يشكل مجالا معرفيا معقدا يتقاطع الأدبي بالنظري، ويزداد تعقيده بسبب تداخل المصطلحات وتعدد الترجمات وقد بينت النتائج أن غياب التوحيد المصطلحي واختلاف خلفيات المترجمين ساهم في خلق نوع من التشويش المفاهيمي. الأمر الذي انعكس سلبا على فهم وتوظيف النظريات السردية في الدراسات العربية كما كشفت الدراسة عن الحاجة الماسة إلى جهود مؤسسة لترجمة المصطلحات وفق خلفياتها النظرية، وتوحيدها ضمن معاجم متخصصة، مع تعزيز التكوين الأكاديمي للمترجمين والباحثين في هذا المجال. فالتعامل مع الخطاب السردي يتطلب فهما عميقا للسياقات المعرفية والثقافية التي نشأت في هذه المصطلحات. ------------------ Résumé Cette étude a conclu que le discours narratif constitue un champ de connaissance complexe où se croisent le littéraire et le théorique. Sa complexité s'accentue en raison du chevauchement des termes et de la multiplicité des traductions. Les résultats ont montré que l'absence d’unification terminologique et la diversité des arrière-plans des traducteurs ont engendré une forme de confusion conceptuelle. Cela a eu un impact négatif sur la compréhension et l'application des théories narratives dans les études arabes. L’étude a également révélé un besoin urgent d’efforts institutionnels pour traduire les termes en fonction de leurs fondements théoriques, les unifier dans des dictionnaires spécialisés et renforcer la formation académique des traducteurs et chercheurs dans ce domaine. Travailler avec le discours narratif exige une compréhension approfondie des contextes épistémologiques et culturels dans lesquels ces termes ont émergé.
