Abstract

Summary The thesis addresses the topic of the Algerian desert in Algerian literature, specifically in the novel "The End of the Desert" by Saïd Khatibi. Through this novel, the author successfully introduces the reader to the Algerian desert, sparking a desire to explore and delve deeper into the narrative. The novel reveals both the negative and positive connotations of the desert and explores its mysteries. It represents the state of confusion experienced by Algerian society during the period of 1988, which stabs a dagger into the back of art and life. To this end, we delved into the text of the novel, where the image of the female is portrayed as a structure carrying cultural implications of alienation, imposed upon her by the male element, leading to her fragmentation. The study, titled "The Desert in Algerian Literature: The Novel 'The End of the Desert,'" comprises three chapters: a theoretical chapter and two applied chapters. The theoretical chapter is titled "The Desert and the Formation of Creative Writing," the first applied chapter is titled "The Poetics of Textual Thresholds in 'The End of the Desert,'" and the second applied chapter is "Manifestations of the Desert in Saïd Khatibi's 'The End of the Desert.'" ----------------- تناولتْ الرسالة موضوع الصحراء الجزائرية في الرواية الجزائرية، وتحديدًا في رواية " نهاية الصّحراء " لسعيد خطيبي. تمكن الكاتب من خلال هذه الرواية من تعريف القارئ بالصحراء الجزائرية، ممّا أثارَ رغبة القارئ في استكشاف الرواية و التوغل فيها كما تمكنت الرواية من الكشف عن الدّلالات السلبيّة و الإيجابيّة للصحراء و استكشاف خباياها حيثُ مثّلتْ حالة التيه التي عاشها المجتمع الجزائريّ في فترة 1988، و التي تنشب خنجرها في ظهر الفن و الحياة. في سبيل ذلك ولجنا إلى متن الرواية، حيثُ تجلّتْ فيها صورة الأنثى كنسق يحمل مضمرات ثقافيّة استلابيّة، مارسها عليها العنصر الذكوري، ممّا قادها إلى التّشظي. تناولتْ الدراسة الموسومة " الصحراء في الرواية الجزائرية: رواية " نهاية الصحراء" والتي تضمنتْ ثلاث فصول – فصل نظري و فصلين تطبيقين وهما " الفصل النظري بعنوان ' الصحراء و تشكيل الكتابة الإبداعية و فصل ثاني حمل عنوان " شعرية العتبات النصية في رواية نهاية الصّحراء " و الفصل الثالث " تمثلات الصحراء في رواية نهاية الصحراء "لسعيد خطيبي"
