Abstract
Given the prominent role played by the French thinker and writer Albert Camus in literary and critical circles, he has become a phenomenon and a subject of multifaceted issues, necessitating study and analysis within world literature. Our study focuses on this phenomenon in Algerian literature, as it is the closest to him in terms of its most crucial aspect: his affiliation and geographical proximity to the writers and literary figures who were his contemporaries, as well as those who have continued to engage with his work even after his death and to this day.
Therefore, our thesis includes various approaches to his controversial life, including the reasons for his affiliation and the opinions of Algerian critics and writers who were his contemporaries, as well as their stances towards him. It then delves into the contemporary Algerian novel and the ways in which it intersects with his life, works, and philosophy.
The study concluded by highlighting Albert Camus's place in the Algerian cultural consciousness, a consciousness oscillating between literary and philosophical glorification and political and historical rejection stemming from his dual nature. This is further underscored by the multiplicity of his representations within contemporary Algerian novels and the varying interpretations of his work depending on its prevalence. This clearly reflects the ongoing debate surrounding him from his rise to fame to the present day. Consequently, this research contributes to opening up and broadening the horizons for reading Albert Camus in other cultural contexts and in light of the interaction of his thought and literature with various nationalities.
The study necessitated the adoption of a socio-textual approach, as it analyzes literary phenomena within their social contexts.

Compte tenu du rôle prépondérant joué par l'écrivain et penseur français Albert Camus dans les cercles littéraires et critiques, il est devenu un phénomène et un sujet aux multiples facettes, nécessitant une étude et une analyse approfondies au sein de la littérature mondiale. Notre étude se concentre sur ce phénomène dans la littérature algérienne, car c'est celle qui le comprend le mieux, notamment en ce qui concerne son affiliation et sa proximité géographique avec les écrivains et figures littéraires de son époque, ainsi qu'avec ceux qui ont continué à s'inspirer de son œuvre après sa mort et jusqu'à nos jours.
Ainsi, notre thèse aborde différentes perspectives sur sa vie controversée, notamment les raisons de son affiliation et les opinions des critiques et écrivains algériens de son temps, ainsi que leurs positions à son égard. Elle explore ensuite le roman algérien contemporain et ses interactions avec sa vie, son œuvre et sa philosophie.
L'étude conclut en soulignant la place d'Albert Camus dans la conscience culturelle algérienne, une conscience oscillant entre glorification littéraire et philosophique et rejet politique et historique, en raison de sa double nature. Cette dualité est accentuée par la multiplicité de ses représentations dans les romans algériens contemporains et par les diverses interprétations de son œuvre selon sa diffusion. Ceci reflète clairement le débat qui l'entoure depuis ses débuts jusqu'à nos jours. Par conséquent, cette recherche contribue à ouvrir et à élargir les perspectives de lecture d'Albert Camus dans d'autres contextes culturels et à la lumière des interactions entre sa pensée et sa littérature et différentes nationalités.
L'étude a nécessité l'adoption d'une approche socio-textuelle, puisqu'elle analyse les phénomènes littéraires dans leurs contextes sociaux.
