IMPACT DU TRAITEMENT BIOCIDE SUR LA CORROSION BACTERIENNE INTERNE DES CONDUITES D'INJECTION D'EAU : ÉTUDE EXPERIMENTALE ET SUIVI SUR SITE

Abstract

This study addresses the bacterial corrosion associated with the use of albien water in the injection and desalination processes within the oil wells in Hassi Messaoud. Due to the aggressive nature of this water, physical and chemical analyzes were conducted to determine its impact on petroleum facilities. The bacterial activity was also monitored before and after treatment with the biocide using culture media, where a color change to black indicates the presence of bacterial activity and the formation of iron sulfide (FeS). Additionally, metal coupons were used to monitor general corrosion and calculate the corrosion rate. The results highlighted the importance of microbiological monitoring of injected water to reduce the risks of bacterial corrosion and protect petroleum equipment.
