Vocabulary learning plays a fundamentalrole in language acquisition, serving as a cornerstone for effective communication and comprehension. As educators seek innovative ways to support vocabulary development, digital tools gain prominence for their potential to enhance learning outcomes. This studyaims to investigate the role of digitalYouTube storytellinginenhancingstudents’vocabularylearningamongthird-yearEnglishasaForeign Language (EFL) students at Mohamed Cherif Messaadia University, Souk Ahras. It seeks to examine how the integration of digital storytelling (DST) throughYouTube influences students' vocabulary learning, retention, and engagement in the language learning process. Amixed-methods approach is adopted; the research involves 35 students and utilizes a questionnaire, an experimental intervention, and interviews with students to gather both quantitative and qualitative data. The obtained findings indicate that DigitalStoryTelling via YouTube significantly contributes to vocabulary learning, as students show noticeable improvement in vocabulary retention and usage. Additionally, participants express positive perceptions towards the integration of digital media in language learning, highlighting increasedengagement andmotivation.Basedonthesefindings,ourhypothesesareconfirmed. م المفردات يلعب دو ًرا أساسيًا في اكتساب اللغة، حيث يعدّ ركيزة للتواصل الفعّال والفهم. ومع سعي المربّين إلى ّ تعل طرق مبتكرة لدعم تطوير المفردات، تبرز األدوات الرقمية كوسائل ذات إمكانات لتحسين نتائج التعلم. تهدف هذه الدراسة الى التحقيق في دور السرد القصصي الرقمي عبر منصة يوتيوب في تعزيز تعلم المفردات لدى طالب السنة الثالثة في تخصص اللغة االنجليزية كلغة اجنبية بجامعة محمد الشريف مساعدية سوق اهراس تسعى الدراسة الى استكشاف كيفية تأثير دمج السرد الرقمي عبر يوتيوب على تعلم الطالب للمفردات، احت احتفاظهم بها، وانخراطهم طالبًا واستعملت استبيانًا، تدخًال في عملية تعلم اللغة, اعتمدت الدراسة على منهجية مختلطة، شملت البحث 35 تجريبيًا، ومقابالت مع الطالب لجمع بيانات كمية ونوعية. تشير النتائج إلى أن السرد القصصي الرقمي عبر يوتيوب حيث أظهر الطالب تحسًنا ملحو ًظ يساهم بشكل ملحوظ في تعلم المفردات، ا في االحتفاظ بالمفردات واستخدامها. باإلضافة إلى ذلك، عبّر المشاركون عن تصورات إيجابية تجاه دمج الوسائط الرقمية في تعلم اللغة، مشيرين إلى زيادة االنخراط والتحفيز. بنا ًء على هذه النتائج، تم تأكيد فرضياتنا. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن السرد القصصي عبر يوتيوب يعد أداة تربوية فعّالة لدعم تطوير المفردات في سياقات تعلم اإلنجليزية كلغة أجنبية --------------------- Résumé

L’apprentissage du vocabulaire joue un rôle fondamental dans l’acquisition des langues, constituant une pierre angulaire pour une communication et une compréhension efficaces. Alors que les éducateurs recherchent des moyens innovants pour soutenir le développement du vocabulaire, les outils numériques s’imposent comme des moyens prometteurs pour améliorer les résultats d’apprentissage. Cette étude vise à examiner le rôle du storytelling numérique viaYouTube dans l’amélioration de l’apprentissage du vocabulaire chez les étudiants de troisième année en anglais comme langue étrangère à l’Université Mohamed Cherif Messaadia, SoukAhras. Elle explore comment l’intégration du storytelling numérique àtraversYouTubeinfluencel’apprentissage,larétentionetl’engagementdesétudiantsdansle processus d’apprentissage de la langue. Une approche mixte a été adoptée ; la recherche a impliqué 35 étudiants et a utilisé un questionnaire, une intervention expérimentale et des entretiens avec les étudiants pour recueillir des données quantitatives et qualitatives. Les résultats obtenus indiquent que le storytelling numérique viaYouTube contribue de manière significative àl’apprentissageduvocabulaire,les étudiantsmontrantuneaméliorationnotable dans la rétention et l’utilisation du vocabulaire. En outre, les participants ont exprimé des perceptions positives envers l’intégration des médias numériques dans l’apprentissage des langues, soulignant une augmentation de l’engagement et de la motivation. Sur la base de ces résultats,noshypothèses sontconfirmées. L’étude conclutquelestorytellingviaYouTubeest un outil pédagogique efficace pour soutenir le développement du vocabulaire dans des contextes EFL.
