Pratiques Langagières Et Rapports De Genre En Algérie Étude Sociolinguistique Des Variations Genrees Comme Marqueurs Des Relations De Pouvoir

Abstract

Abstract This study explores language practices and gender relations in Algeria from a sociolin- guistic perspective. It investigates linguistic differences between women and men as markers of power relations and social organization. The research highlights how language reflects gen- der roles and social representations while contributing to the maintenance or transformation of inequality. The theoretical framework is based on the concepts of sex, gender, and gender iden- tity, drawing on the works of Robin Lakoff, Deborah Tannen, and Janet Holmes. Through the analysis of oral and written corpora, the study demonstrates that linguistic practices are closely linked to social norms and symbolic domination. The findings reveal that language is not neutral but serves as a social instrument through which power, identity, and gender hierarchies are ex- pressed and negotiated. The study concludes that discourse analysis is essential for understand- ing how language shapes social identities and reproduces power relations within Algerian soci- ety.

تتناول هذه الدارسة العلاقة بين اللغة والنوع الاجتماعي في المجتمع الجازئري من منظور سوسيولساني، من خلال تحليل الاختلافات اللغوية بين النساء والرجال بوصفها مؤشارت على علاقات السلطة والبنية الاجتماعية .تهدف إلى إبارز كيف تعكس الممارسات اللغوية الأدوار الاجتماعية وتمثلات الذكورة والأنوثة، وكيف تسهم في إعادة إنتاج الهيمنة أو مقاومتها داخل التفاعل اليومي .اعتمدت الدارسة على إطار نظري يجمع بين مفاهيم الجنس والنوع الاجتماعي والهوية الجندرية ، مع الاستناد إلى نظريات باحثين مثل كما تناولت تمثلات النوع Janet Holmes. وDeborah Tannen و Robin Lakoff الاجتماعي في المجتمع الجازئري وتأثيرها في أساليب الخطاب ، سواء الشفهي أو الكتابي .أظهرت النتائج أن اللغة ليست وسيلة تواصل محايدة ، بل أدا ة اجتماعية ترتبط ببناء المكانة الاجتماعية وتكريس الفوارق الجندرية .وتؤكد الدارسة أن تحليل الخطاب يكشف آليات القوة الرمزية التي تتجسد في اللغة ، ويبرز دورها في تشكيل الهوية والعلاقات الاجتماعية داخل السياق الثقافي الجازئري. ----------- Résumé

Cette étude examine les pratiques langagières et les rapports de genre en Algérie à travers une approche sociolinguistique. Elle analyse les variations linguistiques entre femmes et hommes comme indicateurs des relations de pouvoir et des structures sociales. Le travail met en évidence la manière dont les usages du langage reflètent les représentations sociales du mas- culin et du féminin et participent à la construction ou à la contestation des hiérarchies sociales. L’étude s’appuie sur les concepts de sexe, genre et identité de genre, ainsi que sur les apports théoriques de Robin Lakoff, Deborah Tannen et Janet Holmes. L’analyse du corpus oral et écrit montre que les différences langagières sont liées aux normes sociales, aux rôles assignés et aux mécanismes de domination symbolique. Les résultats confirment que le langage constitue un espace où s’expriment les inégalités de genre et où se négocient les identités sociales. Ainsi, la parole apparaît comme un outil central de reproduction ou de transformation des rapports so- ciaux dans le contexte algérien.
