dc.description.abstractAbstract The purpose of the current exploratory study is to demonstrate the efficiency of using Audio-visual aids to enhance students speaking skill. It tries to explore the effects of using these tools to improve students speaking skill since the latter is considered as one of the most difficult skills to master. This difficulty is due to the lack of motivation and teacher reliance on the traditional methods. In order to reach the above aims, the research utilized a mixed methods approach to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. A descriptive method applied to collect data through questionnaires one for teachers of oral expression and another for first year students at the department of English language at Souk-Ahras University. Besides, a classroom observation that investigated how these tools are integrated by teachers and what students' attitudes towards their incorporation of Audio-visual aids. This study highlighted the importance of Audio-Visual aids in boosting students speaking skill. Moreover, it demonstrated how the use of Audio-Visual aids can help students overcome speaking problems and improve their oral performance. The obtained results were confirmed the hypothesis established at the beginning of the study. It proved that Audio-Visual aids reflect positively on the students' oral performance and enhance their speaking skill to a high level.
