Our research is part of the didactics of the writing of the French as a foreignlanguage and focuses on the practice of the draft in examssituations (first-yearstudents MasterSciences DuLanguageSDL). We have described the importance ofthedraftasatooltohelpandimprovewrittenproductionthatallowsstudentstocontrol and organize their writing. The first theoretical part composed of three chaptersis devoted to the definition of some concepts which have a relation with the reading,the writing, and the written production, the draft in the situation of evaluation. Thesecond part concerns the field work, of which, we have organized a comparativeanalytical study of the writings between (draft and clean) to see the progress of theirproducts.
